About me

me

I'm David Lindin, working where cloud infrastructure meets security, and I love the challenge of getting both right.

Over the past decades, I've watched technology evolve at breakneck speed and had the privilege of helping organizations not just keep up, but get ahead. My work focuses on designing cloud solutions that are secure, efficient, and built to scale. There's something deeply satisfying about finding that sweet spot between performance and protection, creating systems that don't just work well today but are architected for whatever comes next.

What I do

I design and implement cloud architectures with security baked in from the ground up. Whether that's orchestrating complex migrations from legacy systems, building security frameworks that actually make operational sense, or optimizing infrastructure that needs to perform under pressure, I thrive on solving these puzzles. My approach comes from years of seeing what works (and what spectacularly doesn't), giving me a practical perspective on both the incredible opportunities and the real risks that come with modern technology.

Beyond work

Most of my time outside the office is spent with my kids, which keeps me grounded and has honestly taught me more about creative problem-solving than any certification program ever could. I'm also that person who gets genuinely excited about new technology, whether it's diving into a promising new tool, experimenting with emerging platforms, or just tinkering with something because I'm curious about how it works.

Why I write

This blog is where I share the discoveries, insights, and occasional "aha!" moments from both my work and life. You'll find deep dives into cloud and security topics, real-world lessons from challenging projects, and my honest takes on tools and technologies I've put through their paces. But you'll also find reflections on balancing career ambitions with family life, thoughts on how technology shapes our daily experiences, and musings on the lessons that come from decades in an industry that never stops changing.

I write for people who believe that complex technology should be approachable, that the best solutions often come from understanding not just the "how" but the "why," and that sometimes the most valuable insights come from stepping back and thinking about the bigger picture.
